Ranger Build
I have a Zodiac Longbow which is 14% enchanted and I want to get the most out of it so in my pvp build I need a decent enchantment spell. As a R/Mo I found my energy management was poor so after a little research I found 2 useful spells as a R/A or R/Me; Illusion of Weakness and Shroud of Distress. Shadow Arts could be a a good investment due to the survivability skills that cost less energy as a whole. Although weakness gives me a ever lasting spell as long as I don't drop under 25% and is a good drop back in any situation. The plus side to Illusion is the extra damage hexes but a drain on my energy is the drawback. Anybody know which would be best in a pvp scenario or have some advice through experience to share? Thanks

Both of those are pretty terrible.
Conjure Flame/Frost/Lightning > that crap, if you really need an enchant.

You can combine barrage with ritualists weapon spells like :
Nightmare Weapon Weapon Spell. For 12 seconds, target ally has a Nightmare Weapon. Target ally's next 3 attacks are reduced by 10...42 damage and steals up to 10...42 Health. 5 1 10

Weapon Spell. For 20 seconds, target ally has a Splinter Weapon. Target ally's next successful 1...4 attack(s) deal(s) [sic] 5...41 damage to up to 3 adjacent foes.

Weapon Spell. For 5...10 seconds, target ally has a Wailing Weapon.
Whenever the Wailing Weapon strikes an attacking foe, that foe is interrupted.

Weapon Spell. For 5...13 seconds, if target ally attacks a foe who is not attacking, that foe is interrupted.
Nightfall
Weapon of Aggression
Weapon Spell. For 5...13 seconds, you attack 25% faster.

How are they bad? A ranger needs survivability which these spells offer. My equipment isn't the make-up of my build but as I tend to use my ranger abilities as the staple of my damage the secondary is merely backup and survivability. And my Zodiac has 20/20 Sunder and +30hp so those elementalist enchantments won't be any good for me.

Make a PvP character.
Pretty much everything that you've posted is terrible in PvP.
A ranger's survivability is easily supplied with mending touch and natural stride, with troll to help support.
Rangers don't do damage unless you count degen from apply.
Sundering is horrible (especially on a bow).
